“We must dig where we stand.”- Alastair McIntosh, Soil & Soul (2001)

I was invited, with the support of the Royal Scottish Academy to go and spend a week’s residency in Sweeney’s Bothy on the Isle of Eigg. It took place from 24th-31st May, 2014.

Journeying to Eigg was an incredible experience, I got the feel of independence of self-sufficiency and the mode of living with the land. During the week I visited many incredible sites across the island, including the Well of the Holy Women, Cathedral Cave and the Singing Sands. If you wish to listen about my time on Eigg then please do read the blog entry I wrote on the Bothy Project website, which an be found here…
