JOHN KINROSS SCHOLARHSIP

After graduating from my undergraduate degree at DJCAD college, I was awarded the RSA John Kinross Scholarhsip to go and embark on a research residency in Florence. This was set up as a 2-month residency, in which during that time I researched the human relationship to water, in particular looking at the ancient ritual of Baptism. This enquiry was primarily developed by visiting several baptisteries throughout Italy, including Florence Baptistery, Pisa Baptistery, Ravenna Baptistery and Orvieto Well.  During my time there, I created a sonic archive of my experiences that were later sculpted into a final body of work.
